- Musang King (D197) — the cultivar prized for thick, bitter-sweet, custard-like flesh.
- Graded AAA, the top grade. Every fruit is checked by hand before it is packed.
- Whole fruit, 3.5–5 lb each (1.6–2.3 kg). Each one yields roughly 1 to 1.5 lb of flesh.
- Flash-frozen in liquid nitrogen the moment it ripens, so the flavour is locked in at its peak — it tastes like fresh fruit, not like something that sat in a freezer.
- Keep it frozen until you need it. Move it to the fridge the day before you want to eat it, then leave it out to soften just before serving. Once thawed, finish it within a day or two and do not refreeze.
- How to tell it is real: five seams meet in a clear star at the base. That mark is the D197 signature.

Not all durian is grown the same way.
Every Durigold durian comes from a small group of farms in the volcanic highlands. It is one of the few places where premium grade Musang King D197 grows the way it is meant to — slowly, in old red soil, on trees that have had years to settle in.
Cool highland nights
About 500 metres above the sea, the nights turn cool. The fruit ripens at its own pace instead of rushing. That extra time is what makes the flesh creamy.
The same small farms
We buy from a small number of growers, season after season. Same families, same trees. We know where every fruit came from.
On the tree
We never cut the fruit down
A durian tells you when it is ready. It lets go and falls on its own. Cutting it early is faster and cheaper, and it is why so much durian tastes flat. Our growers wait.
On the ground
Picked up by hand, the same day
Each fruit is lifted from the soil by hand and checked before it is packed. It stays whole, husk and all. You open it yourself at home — that is part of it.

How do I know it is really Musang King?
Check the base. Five seams meet in a clear five-pointed star — that mark is the D197 signature and it is hard to fake. Every fruit we send is graded AAA.
How much fruit do I actually get?
Each whole fruit weighs 3.5–5 lb (1.6–2.3 kg) and yields roughly 1 to 1.5 lb of flesh. Four fruit comfortably feed a table of eight.
How should I keep it?
Leave it in the freezer until the day you want it. Once it has softened, eat it within a day or two and do not put it back.
What if something is wrong when it arrives?
If any fruit arrives damaged or spoiled, send us a photo. We replace that fruit free or refund it, and you keep the original. That stands for 30 days.
Will my whole house smell?
The aroma is strong once it is open — that is the fruit doing what it should. Open it in a room you can air out, and seal what you do not finish in an airtight container.
