Before you order
Will it actually arrive frozen?
Yes. The fruit is frozen with liquid nitrogen, packed in an insulated box, and sent Next Day Air. We only ship Monday to Thursday, so it is never in transit over a weekend. If it arrives spoiled or damaged, send us a photo within 30 days and we'll replace that fruit free or refund it in full. Nothing to send back.more
How do I thaw it?
Keep it frozen until you need it. Move it to the fridge the day before you want to eat it, then leave it out to soften just before serving. Once thawed, finish it within a day or two and do not refreeze.more
How many fruits are in a box?
8 lb is 2 whole durians, 12 lb is 3, 16 lb is 4–5, and 27 lb is 6–7. Each whole fruit weighs 3.5–5 lb and yields roughly 1–1.5 lb of flesh — the husk and seeds are most of the weight, as with any durian.One box is 24.3 lb (11 kg) of whole frozen durians. Each Ri6 weighs around 4–6 lb, so a box is usually 4–6 fruits.
Do you ship to Alaska and Hawaii?
Yes. Free overnight shipping covers all 50 states, with the same Monday-to-Thursday schedule.
What if nobody is home when it arrives?
The carrier will leave the box at the door by default; bring it inside and into the freezer as soon as you can.
How long does it keep in my freezer?
Six months in your freezer, sealed as it arrived. Move it to the fridge the day before you plan to eat it.more
Will my house smell like durian?
Not while it's frozen and sealed. Once thawed and opened, it smells like durian — which, if you're ordering it, is the point.
